2019 Summer

& Birdwalk

5:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15,

Brookside Park 1325 6th St., Ames

Want to learn more about some of the nesting birds that are living in our community as well as some tips for keeping the birds in your backyard happy this summer?

Join our staff from Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop for a birdwalk through Brookside Park. Learn about bird adaptations, how to use binoculars and a field guide like a professional and help us submit our sightings to eBird! We’ll keep an eye out for summer residents like rose-breasted grosbeaks, orioles, mockingbirds, indigo buntings and more. We’ll talk a little bit about how to keep your birds happy during the summer. Meet us at the fire truck on the north side of the park. Bring binoculars if you have them.

The event is free, but registration is requested by calling (515) 956-3145 or emailing [email protected]
