Finally... A Deer Repellent That Really Works!
Tree Guard® Deer Repellent is a pre-mixed, ready to use, deer repellent that works! It sprays on milky and dries clear. The latex in Tree Guard resists washing off by rain and snow and the effects of the sun. The active ingredient, Bitrex™ makes the plant unpalatable to deer. By coating your trees and plants with Tree Guard, you can achieve up to 4 months of protection from damaging deer and animal browse. Only new growth needs to be protected after initial application. Tree Guard is safe for use around pets and will not harm plants or wildlife.
Application Directions
Tree Guard is ready to use and should not be diluted. Shake container well before using. Apply Tree Guard directly using the squeeze trigger applicator or transfer product into any pump-type sprayer equipped with a cone or flat fan nozzle. Adjust nozzle to obtain even coverage. Apply only to dry plants. Hold spray tip 1 - 2 feet from plants to be treated and spray leaves, needles, buds, branches and trunks subject to browsing by deer. Spray plant surfaces evenly and thoroughly. Repeat treatment if deer damage resumes. For best results, apply to bare branches in the fall, after the first frost and to unprotected foliage in the spring.
Use Restrictions
This product may be used to discourage deer from feeding on shrubs, ornamental plants, conifers, and deciduous trees.
Always consult the label for specific instructions prior to use.
Do not apply to the fruit on fruit trees, food or feed crops.
Do not apply aerially.
Do not apply through any type of irrigation system or hose proportioner.
Do not apply directly where product might drift onto stone, concrete or siding as staining may occur.

Use this product only at ambient temperatures between 40° F and 90° F. Where deer browse pressure is high, consider other seedling protection options.
Wear protective gloves and wash hands after use.
Rinse application equipment thoroughly and immediately following use.
Tree Guard has been tested on many species of trees and ornamental plants and is believed not to be generally phytotoxic. Nevertheless, it is advisable to test the products on types of plants which may be especially sensitive by treating small portions of the plant before treating the entire plant.
